Updated 17 Oct 2026 · LLCTally
Facts checked on
Filing yourself, a Florida LLC costs between 402.50 and 541.25 dollars in state fees over its first three years: the formation fee and two or three annual reports. The figures come from the Florida Statutes.
The state fees
- Formation: filing the original articles of organization costs 100 dollars [28], plus 25 dollars for the certificate designating a registered agent [28]: 125 dollars in all, the total that the Division of Corporations gives for a new LLC [141].
- Every year: the annual report costs 50 dollars [28], plus an annual supplemental fee of 88.75 dollars imposed on each business entity [29]: 138.75 dollars in all. Reports are due between January 1 and May 1 of each year [30].
- Late payment: a late charge of 400 dollars applies when the supplemental fee is paid after May 1 [29].
- Registered agent: every LLC must keep a registered agent in Florida [31].
- An LLC formed in another state pays 100 dollars to apply for a certificate of authority to do business in Florida, plus 25 dollars for the registered agent designation: 125 dollars in all [28] [141].
Over three years
The total is a range. Depending on the formation date and on the day each report is filed, two or three reports fall in 36 months. With two reports the state fees are 402.50 dollars; with three, 541.25 dollars.
The calculator for Florida adds the prices of the formation services we could read. Due dates of the other states are in LLC deadlines by state.
